hope everyone's week is going great.i kno that i have been doing my micro blogging.and i hope that you all have been enjoying the pics of all the crazy things that i've been doing this week.just a lil check in on some funny/interesting things that have happened this week.

well the latest is that i got a txt from a friend asking me to send her a pic.lol

i was like: WHY
she said: becuase my friends are showing off pics of their BFs (she doenst have one) and i was thinking...if i dont have it...fake it.

that was very funny to me.lol.so i put a question out on twitter and facebook asking if i should send her a pic.
some said yes.some just laughed.others suggested that something else was going to come of it(but we wont go there)
end result i didnt send her a pic.and she tried to play it off as if she was just joking (i think that she stole a pic of me from facebook and showed me off.but its kool.cause now i know she thinks i'm cute.lol)

uh...another thing is...

i've been eating a lot better.i also went to get my hair cut at a random barber shop (if you kno me u'd understand that its a bid todo for me to do something like that) and it turned out really good.so i think i'm keeping that guy.

uh...some more...

idk...OH..yea i got all these kool shirts form shirt.woot.com and threadless.com and i cant wait to show the world.

so thats my weekly check in.i kno i havent blogged in a while.so ya i'm going to try to do this every Friday.ESP if i havent done a 'real' blog the whole week.

okay so a couple of fridays ago (actually if you look at my Uzi blog.this is the same friday)i was at a show in Deep Elm (or is it Deep Elum) all i kno is that it was on Elm Street. and usually u have nightmares on elm street.but this time i was met with what seemed to be the future.a savior of music.(and you all kno that i have a special place in my heart for GREAT music). this guy was rocking the stage that night.and i had no clue who he was.all i kno is that i loved every song that he did.i approached him after the show and let him kno that i wanted to cover him on my blog.gave him a card.and asked him to contact me.

a few weeks later i get a txt from him.letting me kno that his EP was about to drop.and asking if i would take a listen.

his name: Dustin Cavazos
his project: the shelly EP

what i got was straight greatness.this EP was full of songs that i think anyone could relate to.my fav being Hopeless to Believe track 2 on the EP.

but i must let you all kno that this guy has my stamp of approval.(and i'm not usually wrong when it comes to finding out about great artist)

BUT please everyone go check out the shelly EP by Dustin Cavazos

he also let me in on a preview of his album coming out.and trust it will be worth copping when it drops

since you all have read this far i'll share w/ you the video to the first track of his album

i dont kno if you all noticed but this week i was pretty bummed out.this is why...

okay so on friday i was waken with a txt from my mom "i'm taking the money out today.call me if you need me to wait" i was like why is she taking money out of my acct.(well this is something she always does on my pay day) i was like this is not the right day.i havent got paid yet. but i had.and at that point i realized that i had not enough money to cover all of my bill.(i hate that feeling)

i went the whole week pretty much wondering what i was going to do.i was thinking about all of the extra stuff i did and wishing that i could take it all back. but of course u can never turn back time.

so one day i gotta txt from a great friend. he had noticed that i was bummed out and was wondering y.

i explained my situation and he gave me a scripture to ease my mind.reminding me of the promises of my Heavenly Father.

its soooo hard to trust n have faith when things are going bad.but you have to remember the times that God has brought you through and kno that he will always bring you through.

that scripture was Matthew 6:34

it talks bout not worrying about tomorrow.but i read the whole chapter and it really opened my eyes.

so i was eased a little but when you have bills coming up and you kno you dont have the money to pay them.its REALLY hard to just be calm.

i kept that scripture in my mind through the weekend. then on today (monday the 31 of August) i received a call from my boss and he told me that today i got a BONUS check and it was waiting for me at the office.

i was blown out of the water. its crazy how much God loves us.and we dont love Him back half as much.i kno that i will never be perfect.but i'm glad that i have someone who i can depend on and know's my needs

Oh no. @rick_smith just fell overboard.gotta find someone to help

okay so like i really really love GREAT music.people who are actually creative w/ their music and arent afraid to break the mold after their creation is complete.

so like two years ago i was traveling through myspace and landed on the planet of UZOY. this was around the same time i found Janelle, B.o.B, and a couple of other artist. it was at the time when i was looking for something new.because urban radio kept throwing me the same ol' thing.

i clicked play one the first track of this artist's page and fell in love. i mean i was already a Kanye, Mos Def, Common, Talib, and Lupe fan. but these were all guys.and she gave me that femal version of all those styles blended into one hot female smoothie. i had never heard such a strong passion delivered by a female in such a way.

so i've kept her in my scope and on Friday the 21st of August i was able to experience that delivery live.

this artist ripped the stage like no other artist before her had done that night(i wont speak on the artist that came after..another blog)

after the performance we spoke and she let me in on the mistakes that were made.but who is worse critic to an artist other than himself(or herself). but yea if you havent had a chance make sure you check out UZOY's MySpace. if you like great music u'll love this.
